If I sing NEGARAKU only using F-flat, am I offending our national anthem? I heard a live jazz version officially being sang and aired on RTM. I heard minister sing NEGARAKU with an awful voice on TV. I nearly can’t recognise what song he’s singing. Does that mean he’s offended the law as well?

I watch a morning show today, a viewer call up giving comments bout this song; describing Namwee as a youngster that not understand the meaning of kemerdekaan. To be frank, I don’t understand neither cos not every Malaysian shares the same benefits and equal rights. Is this the meaning of kemerdekaan?
